Felxny
Deangelo Jae Molina, known to the underground and his growing fanbase as Felxny (pronounced Felony), isn’t just your average rap artist. Born on July 4th, 2003 in Madison, Wisconsin, Felxny’s story is one of relentless perseverance, self-discovery, and unshakable grit. Now 22, this Colorado-based, self-produced artist has spent the last decade carving his own path through the musical wilderness — all while juggling the sheer weight of lost projects, evolving sounds, and a creative vision too vast to be contained by one genre. His influences? They stretch across the entire rap spectrum — from the lyrical geniuses who turned hip-hop into poetry to the pioneers who changed the game on SoundCloud, opening new doors for a generation. But don’t pigeonhole Felxny — his music moves fluidly through aesthetic and emo rap, hard-hitting trap beats, silky R&B melodies, the smoky nostalgia of phonk, the chill vibes of lofi, and even touches of pop, indie, and alternative rock. Every track is a different mood, a different moment — a snapshot of a restless mind trying to tell its story. Felxny’s journey began in 2017 when he was just 13, part of a rap group under a different name. The world was new, and so was he — but from the jump, there was fire. That same year, he broke off to go solo, determined to find his own voice. His first solo project, “Dedication”, dropped — now a lost piece of his history, vanished like many early works but still the foundation of his creative identity. It was raw, unpolished, and honest — the sound of a kid testing the waters, hungry to be heard. The next year was a frenzy of creation and loss. Felxny released a series of smaller projects, including “SAUCIN”, “Messed Up Mind Mixtape”, and “Self Entitled Pt. 1”. Each one was a puzzle piece in his artistic puzzle — experimental, emotional, and charged with the energy of a young artist trying to make sense of himself. Alongside these came the first ideas for what would eventually become a major theme in his work: “Lonely World LP”. Though it never saw release in this original form, “Lonely World” planted the seed for the introspective, sometimes dark, world Felxny would keep exploring. 2019 was marked by more projects on paper than in reality. “A Lonely World EP”, “FEAR”, and “Self Entitled Pt. 2” were all planned but never saw the light of day. Only “Summer Vibes”, a mixtape now lost, managed to break through the noise. But this year was also monumental for Felxny on a bigger scale — he founded “offwhitemafia / XYT Entertainment”, a rap group and label that would become the home base for his crew and a symbol of his leadership in Colorado’s underground scene. It wasn’t just about music anymore — it was about building a family, a movement, and a platform for voices like his. After years of refining his craft, 2020 was the year Felxny decided to get serious. On May 1st, “Lonely World Vol. 1” dropped — the first fully realized album after two and a half years of nonstop work. Split into Side A and Side B, the album dug deep into themes of loneliness, mental struggle, and growth. It wasn’t just an album; it was a raw emotional journey laid bare, the soundtrack to nights of wrestling with himself and the world around him. Two months later, on July 20th, Felxny brought his cousin into music, and together they released “VERYRARE” — a now-deleted mixtape that symbolized family ties and creative kinship. But 2020 was relentless. By late September, he dropped “FELXNY’S LOST ARCHIVES PT. 1”, a compilation of unfinished tracks from years past, revealing the ghosts of his creative past and the sheer volume of work that never made it out. In October, “A FUCKED UP LOVE STORY” released, delivering a brutally honest exploration of heartbreak, pain, and love gone wrong. Halloween brought “HAPPY HALLOWEEN”, a mixtape dripping with eerie vibes — now deleted but cementing Felxny’s knack for seasonal thematic projects. Singles like “Mandatory” and “I JUST WANNA DIE” filled the gaps between, each carrying raw emotion and unfiltered energy. By the end of 2020, Felxny made a pivotal decision: no more borrowing unlicensed beats or dropping half-finished projects. It was time to master production himself — to become the one-man engine driving every beat, every melody, every verse. 2021 was all about the studio. Felxny committed himself to producing consistently, spending countless hours honing his beat-making skills. Early singles like “SNOFLAKE”, “FB4x”, and “EVERYDAY” dropped in March and April (with the latter two eventually deleted), signaling a new chapter of artistic independence. On the one-year anniversary of “Lonely World Vol. 1”, May 1st saw the release of the “Deluxe Edition”, which added a Side C and featured a remix of “HELLBOY” with underground artist Kidd Snooze — a collaboration that underscored Felxny’s deep roots in the underground scene. The rest of the year was a steady push to perfect his craft, culminating in a special track kept on the shelf for the right moment Early 2022 kicked off with the single “DUMB SH!T” on February 14th — a fun, unapologetic track. But the real highlight was “GOTH B!TCH”, released May 1st, which quickly became an aesthetic rap classic. It resonated with thousands, blending moody vibes, haunting melodies, and a style that felt both fresh and timeless. On July 4th, “RUGER CLAP” and its remix featuring ItsBean dropped, cementing Felxny’s reputation for gritty, catchy, and hard-hitting music. Though the rest of the year slowed down on releases, Felxny’s production skills were evolving rapidly, and the long-gestating “project” from 2021 finally began to take shape in the background. 2023 was marked by a steady output of hits across moods and styles. “SELF ENTITLED” in March brought a heavy, drill-inspired energy, followed by a feature with local Colorado artist The Infamous 2EAzy on “Well Distinguished”. April saw the release of “BUSS DOWN” (feat. P’Macc Blaze) and the banger “DROP THAT ASS”, while June and July’s “SELENA” (feat. The Infamous 2EAzy) and “WANNABE (PROM QUEEN)” closed out the year’s releases. Meanwhile, ideas for another Halloween project surfaced but didn’t come together in time. It morphed into a spooky Christmas concept, which also stalled — eventually shelved indefinitely but never forgotten. In 2024, the Halloween tracks were finally condensed into a small EP. January 21st brought “days before the spotlight”, leading up to the major project slated for the year. After a devastating heartbreak, Felxny dropped “A FUCKED UP LOVE STORY 2”, featuring powerful singles like “HEARTBREAKER” and “I LOST EVERYTHING ON A FUCKED UP FRIDAY” — raw, emotional anthems that bared his soul. May’s “LATINA B!TCH” reestablished Felxny’s signature aesthetic rap sound. Then came a period of doubt and near-quitting, but on October 11th, 2024, “*long.live.felxny*” emerged from nowhere — a spark that reignited his creative fire. By Halloween, “out the dungeon” dropped, a dark, hard-hitting track perfectly embodying the season’s mood. November saw a powerful collaboration with underground Colorado artist London Ya Dig: “TILL THE REAPER LAUGHS!”, released December 20th, now hailed as a cult classic blending grim lyricism with haunting beats. 2025 has been a breakout year. On March 8th, Felxny, London Ya Dig, and INSANITY999 opened for Strange Music affiliate Jehry Robinson in a major blowout show, marking a milestone in his career. January saw the release of “WASTE OF TIME”, “LEAK”, and “OLD MAN COYOTE”, singles that showed Felxny’s lyrical growth and evolving sound. May 1st brought “COBAIN!”, a track filled with raw emotional intensity. Then, May 23rd saw the release of “Music For When The World Ends”, a 13-track collaborative album with London Ya Dig, featuring standout songs like “No Circus”, “Kennedy!” (feat. INSANITY999), “Goosebumps”, a reimagining of a classic song from a artist taken from us way too soon R.I.P to Lil Sweet “Lights Out Pt. 3” (with. Lil Sweet), and “SKY!” (feat. AuxStar). The future is packed. October 11th, 2025, will see the release of “*long.live.felxny* 2”, a sequel to the 2024 surprise drop. Alongside it, “rumors of a new mixtape” and “TILL THE REAPER LAUGHS! 2” — a Halloween 2025 collaboration with London Ya Dig and INSANITY999 — promise more of the dark, raw energy fans crave. The crown jewel: “I HATE YOU FELXNY!” is set for January 2nd, 2026. This 16-20 track album is a six-year sonic memoir, chronicling everything from early lost tapes and heartbreak to personal growth and fierce determination. It’s the ultimate reckoning — a no-holds-barred artistic confession and a testament to Felxny’s relentless spirit. Felxny’s story isn’t about overnight success or fleeting fame. It’s a decade-long saga of a kid who refused to quit, who learned how to produce because he couldn’t find the right beats, who built a community from scratch, and who keeps pouring his heart into every bar, every beat, every lyric. His music is a mosaic of erased projects, lost archives, and painstaking reinvention — a raw, unfiltered chronicle of pain, hope, heartbreak, and perseverance. For those willing to dive into his world, Felxny offers more than songs; he offers an invitation to witness the making of an underground legend, one track at a time.
